At last, a legend
At last, a legend for the new millennium. A legend in the Homeric sense of a myth, the word that speaks which has flowered here through song: like Caruso, Gigli, Del Monaco, Corelli A legend (of Andrea Bocelli's stature) is not created by design: the most astute marketing would never be able to produce such a result. It is simply that people recognized him and voted for him. And so it happened, in an apparently equal context (a singing competition, the Sanremo festival in 1994) and yet a most perfect one, because the infancy of a legend follows a course which breaks with tradition.
From then on the tone of his voice has brought tenderness to the world and his fame has increased exponentially. The first aspect is a timbre which is as recognizable as a signature, full and powerful, with a versatility ranging from the belcanto to the furore of Verismo, from the sacred repertoire to the popular ballads. The second gift is a more delicate one: life's journey led Andrea Bocelli in adolescence to a different ability which deprived him of sight. This was truly a privation which increased the flow of an extraordinary and unique sensibility which transforms and transcends boundaries, causing him to excel in his interpretation of lyrics, in his perception of the subtleties of musical expression.
An old fashioned training of a modern tenor
Tuscan, like Puccini and Mascagni, Andrea Bocelli was born on 22nd September 1958 and grew up on the family farm in Lajatico. He started studying the piano from the age of six years old. Later his musical passion would extend to the flute and the saxophone but it was in his voice that Andrea discovered the ideal instrument, and this was the beginning of the formative process which would produce Bocelli, the star, "a modern but old fashioned tenor" (as he likes to describe himself). In 1970 he enjoyed his first success in a singing competition, performing 'O sole mio'. After studying singing with Luciano Bettarini, Bocelli approached Franco Corelli. In order to pay for singing lessons, Andrea would play the piano in the local bars and, in the meantime, he continued to develop his interest in the humanities and graduated in Law. In the same period that saw him take off in the world of pop, Andrea was presented with an opportunity to make his debut on the operatic stage in 1994 in Verdi's Macbeth. That Christmas he was invited to sing the Adeste Fideles in St Peters before the Pope. This was the start of a meteoric rise.

The year 2000 marked a new milestone in Andrea Bocelli's recording career: Puccini's La Boheme, with Zubin Mehta conducting. Still under Mehta's baton, the start of the millennium also celebrated the release of the Verdi album. In 2001 it was the turn of Verdi's Requiem, a recording with a formidable cast conducted by Valery Gergiev. In the autumn of 2002 Andrea Bocelli combined his energies with those of Lorin Maazel, with whom he undertook a very special recording project: Sentimento, an enormous success. In May 2003 Andrea sang the role of Mario in his album of Puccini's Tosca under the direction of Zubin Mehta. In spring 2004 Bocelli released Il Trovatore which had been recorded in 2001. Bocelli sang Werther which was released onto the market in spring 2005. He appeared as Turiddu in the Cavalleria Rusticana on the prestigious stage of the Deutsche Opera in Berlin and then flew to South America where he performed to an audience of more than 110,000 in San Paolo, Brazil. In 2009 Bocelli made his triumphant debut at Carnegie Hall in New York in a triple concert where he performed sacred arias and lieder. As many of the legendary voices of the past such as Caruso and Sinatra have done before him, Andrea Bocelli too celebrates the Christmas tradition. His new album My Christmas shot to success in no time. Released on 3rd November 2009 in the USA, it went straight into the charts at number three and reached second place where it remained for six consecutive weeks. Achieving sales of more than 4 million, it became the 5th top selling album in the world in 2009. From March 2010 another star shines on Hollywood's Walk of Fame dedicated to our Tuscan tenor, one of a very few Italians to figure in this prestigious firmament.

The Company
PT. Java Festival Production is the creator of the annually held Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival for the past 6 years and throughout the years, it has created two additional annual festivals the Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival and Jakarta International Java Rockin’land Festival.
The Company has also held other concerts such as :

• We Do Green (social concert)
The first Jakarta International Java Rockin’land Festival was held on the 7th through 9th of August 2009 in PantaiCarnaval, Ancol. This annual music Festival will again be held on
8th - 10th of October 2010.
The first edition of the festival was attended by thousands of festival goers that arrived as early as 4:00 p.m. and stayed to enjoy the music presentation till late nights.
In 2009, the Festival presented International and Indonesian names that created a great review for the Festival after the fact.
The Festival Concept
The Jakarta International Java Rockin’land Festival is a 3-day festival offering performances on 8 stages going simultaneously, giving visitors the chance to choose their option on who to see and all are located in one area.

The Festival
In 2008, the Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival was held for 2 days in
Istora.Senayan, presenting names such as Ashanti, Akon, Rahsaan Patterson, Iz & the Nu
Firm, Maliq & D’Essentials, Saykoji, Pandji and many more. The festival was attended by
10.800 visitors.
The 2nd Jakarta International Java Soulnation Festival was held also for 2 days presenting
names such as The Ting-Tings, Arrested Development, DMC of Run DMC, Atlantic Starr,
Musiq Soulchild, Boogiemen, Tangga, Neo, Indonesia RISE and many more. It was able to
attract 19,332 visitors for 2 days.
In 2010, the Company is planning to create a bigger Java Soulnation Festival by expanding
the days to 3 days and will offer well-known International and Indonesian Artists on multi
stages.

JANGAN MENGAMBIL KEPUTUSAN KETIKA KITA SEDANG MARAH.
Grace adalah seorang General Manager di sebuah biro iklan lokal. Dia begitu pintar, tegas dan mempunyai leadership yang sangat tinggi.
Bossnya diam-diam sudah mempersiapkan promosinya untuk menjadi managing director tahun depan. Sang Boss mempunyai pemahaman bahwa akan lebih mudah mempersiapkan seorang pimpinan dari internal daripada merekrut orang baru. Selain kelacak kemampuannya, orang ini tentunya ga butuh lagi proses adaptasi dengan karyawan lainnya.
Satu-satunya hal yang masih mengganggu pikiran Sang Boss adalah prilaku Grace yang temperamental. Sebenarnya Grace orangnya baik, jujur dan bisa dipercaya. Kelemahannya adalah dia terlalu ambisius dan temperamental. Sebuah kombinasi yang kurang menguntungkan sebenernya. Itu sebabnya Si Boss memutuskan untuk menunggu setahun sekaligus memantau kelakuan Grace.
Namun rupanya Sang Boss tidak perlu menunggu setahun. Suatu hari Grace datang ke ruangannya. Wajahnya terlihat merah seperti sedang menahan murka. Tanpa mengetuk dia langsung mendorong pintu dengan kasar lalu masuk ke ruangan Si Boss.( Next...)
"Boss! Kok Marketing Manager kita dikirim training ke London?" katanya keras.
"Memang kenapa?" tanya Si Boss kalem.
"Jabatan saya lebih tinggi dari dia, seharusnya saya yang pergi?"
"Saya mau dia yang pergi." sahut Si Boss tetep kalem.
"Kalau toh harus dia kenapa ga konsultasi ke saya? Saya kan atasannya!!!" sahut Grace setengah membentak.
"Saya ga butuh persetujuan siapapun untuk mengambil keputusan tentang apapun di kantor ini."
"Tapi saya kan General Manager?!!" Kali ini Grace benar-benar membentak Bossnya sendiri.
"Dan saya President Director." sahut Sang Boss tetap dengan suara kalem. Sambil berkata begitu dia melangkah ke arah pintu dan memberi syarat agar Grace segera meninggalkan ruangan itu.
Dengan murka Grace melangkahkan kaki lalu sempat-sempatnya membanting pintu dengan keras. Sementara Si Boss tetap tenang dan tidak memberikan reaksi apapun. Si Boss ini memang terkenal cool, baik dan sangat sabar.
Apa yang terjadi selanjutnya? Grace menerima kenyataan pahit sebagai balasan dari perbuatannya. Dia tidak pernah naik jabatan sebagai Managing Director. Sang Boss berubah pikiran dan akhirnya menarik profesional lain untuk menduduki jabatan itu.
Grace tentu saja semakin murka dan tidak bisa menerima hal itu. Selama ini dia merasa telah menjadi motor perusahaan. Bagaimana mungkin tiba-tiba saja ada orang mengisi jabatan yang dia idam-idamkan? Bagaimana mungkin sekonyong-konyong ada orang baru direkrut dan menjadi atasannya! Tanpa pikir panjang dia langsung bikin surat resign dan meninggalkan perusahaan itu esok harinya.
Sejak itu mulailah dia melamar ke berbagai perusahaan. Dengan pengalaman dan port folionya, Grace sangat yakin akan mudah mendapatkan pekerjaan.
Tapi hidup memang tidak semudah harapan manusia. Sampai tahun berikutnya Grace belum juga mendapat pekerjaan baru. Walaupun dia pintar dan port folionya bagus tapi permintaan gajinya terlalu besar bagi perusahaan lain. Belum lagi fasilitas-fasilitas lainnya seperti tunjangan perumahan, kendaraan dan lainnya. Para pemimpin perusahaan yang tadinya sangat bernafsu untuk merekrutnya langsung mundur teratur mendengar permintaan Grace.
Mulailah Grace menyesali perbuatannya. Dia kini menyadari ternyata cuma perusahaan lamanya yang sangat menghargai profesionalismenya. Dia menyadari bahwa Boss lamanya adalah Boss idaman bagi anak buahnya, Boss yang sangat apresiatif pada staffnya yang berprestasi. Grace mencoba menghubungi Boss lamanya tapi jabatan yang dulu didudukinya telah diisi oleh profesiaonal lain.
Hikmah apakah yang dapat ditarik dari cerita di atas?
Tuhan telah menyediakan rejeki bagi tiap manusia yang ada di dunia ini. Ada banyak kran-kran rejeki di dunia yang telah dipersiapkan olehNya.
Pertanyaannya sekarang, di manakah kran itu berada?
Seorang bijak pernah berkata bahwa semua teman adalah kran rejeki kita. Dari temanlah kita tau ada lowongan pekerjaan. Dari temanlah kita menemukan network di mana kita dapat menemukan banyak peluang. Temanlah yang mengajak kita untuk bermitra dalam mengelola sebuah bisnis. Cuma teman sejati yang akan membantu setiap kali kita dalam kesusahan.
Jadi bisa dibayangkan betapa berharganya sebuah hubungan antar-manusia. Dalam kasus di atas jelas terlihat bahwa Grace telah menutup kran rejekinya sendiri. Kalau dia bisa menjaga hubungan baik dengan bossnya, sudah pasti dia akan menduduki jabatan Managing Director. Dan sudah pasti gaji dan tunjangan-tunjangan lainnya akan meningkat.
Marilah kita berinstropeksi. Sudahkah kita berbuat baik agar hubungan kita dengan semua teman menjadi semakin membaik? Jangan tunda lagil Lakukanlah sekarang. Jangan sampai apa yang terjadi pada Grace terjadi pada kita. Memperbanyak pertemanan berarti memperbanyak kran rejeki kita. Mencampakkan teman berarti menyumpal kran rejeki kita sendiri.
Sayangnya kita cuma manusia biasa. Tuhan telah menciptakan waktu. Dan waktu semakin lama menggeragoti usia. Sudah cukup banyak teman-teman yang mendahului kita. Sudah cukup banyak kran-kran rejeki kita yang tidak lagi berfungsi karena dipanggil Allah SWT. Lalu apa yang harus kita lakukan?
Mari kita manfaatkan waktu yang tersisa. Perbanyaklah pertemanan dan peliharalah persahabatan yang ada. Kedua hal itulah yang harus kita lakukan sekarang. Mari kita pererat tali silaturahmi dengan semua orang yang pernah masuk kedalam hidup kita. Persahabatan tidak ada hubungannya dengan materi, dengan usia, dengan pangkat, agama, jenis kelamin. Siapapun mereka mari tawarkan jalinan pertemanan. Strangers are just friends waiting to happen. Begitu seorang bijak berkata.
Teman adalah asset! Semakin banyak teman, semakin banyak pula kran rejeki kita. Jadi kepada seluruh teman-teman, terimakasih karena telah mau menjadi teman saya. Dengan hubungan yang semakin membaik insya Allah rejeki kita semua juga akan meningkat. Amin3X.

Apa yang terjadi selanjutnya? Grace menerima kenyataan pahit sebagai balasan dari perbuatannya. Dia tidak pernah naik jabatan sebagai Managing Director. Sang Boss berubah pikiran dan akhirnya menarik profesional lain untuk menduduki jabatan itu.
Grace tentu saja semakin murka dan tidak bisa menerima hal itu. Selama ini dia merasa telah menjadi motor perusahaan. Bagaimana mungkin tiba-tiba saja ada orang mengisi jabatan yang dia idam-idamkan? Bagaimana mungkin sekonyong-konyong ada orang baru direkrut dan menjadi atasannya! Tanpa pikir panjang dia langsung bikin surat resign dan meninggalkan perusahaan itu esok harinya.
Sejak itu mulailah dia melamar ke berbagai perusahaan. Dengan pengalaman dan port folionya, Grace sangat yakin akan mudah mendapatkan pekerjaan.
Tapi hidup memang tidak semudah harapan manusia. Sampai tahun berikutnya Grace belum juga mendapat pekerjaan baru. Walaupun dia pintar dan port folionya bagus tapi permintaan gajinya terlalu besar bagi perusahaan lain. Belum lagi fasilitas-fasilitas lainnya seperti tunjangan perumahan, kendaraan dan lainnya. Para pemimpin perusahaan yang tadinya sangat bernafsu untuk merekrutnya langsung mundur teratur mendengar permintaan Grace.
Mulailah Grace menyesali perbuatannya. Dia kini menyadari ternyata cuma perusahaan lamanya yang sangat menghargai profesionalismenya. Dia menyadari bahwa Boss lamanya adalah Boss idaman bagi anak buahnya, Boss yang sangat apresiatif pada staffnya yang berprestasi. Grace mencoba menghubungi Boss lamanya tapi jabatan yang dulu didudukinya telah diisi oleh profesiaonal lain.
Hikmah apakah yang dapat ditarik dari cerita di atas?
Tuhan telah menyediakan rejeki bagi tiap manusia yang ada di dunia ini. Ada banyak kran-kran rejeki di dunia yang telah dipersiapkan olehNya.
Pertanyaannya sekarang, di manakah kran itu berada?
Seorang bijak pernah berkata bahwa semua teman adalah kran rejeki kita. Dari temanlah kita tau ada lowongan pekerjaan. Dari temanlah kita menemukan network di mana kita dapat menemukan banyak peluang. Temanlah yang mengajak kita untuk bermitra dalam mengelola sebuah bisnis. Cuma teman sejati yang akan membantu setiap kali kita dalam kesusahan.
Jadi bisa dibayangkan betapa berharganya sebuah hubungan antar-manusia. Dalam kasus di atas jelas terlihat bahwa Grace telah menutup kran rejekinya sendiri. Kalau dia bisa menjaga hubungan baik dengan bossnya, sudah pasti dia akan menduduki jabatan Managing Director. Dan sudah pasti gaji dan tunjangan-tunjangan lainnya akan meningkat.
Marilah kita berinstropeksi. Sudahkah kita berbuat baik agar hubungan kita dengan semua teman menjadi semakin membaik? Jangan tunda lagil Lakukanlah sekarang. Jangan sampai apa yang terjadi pada Grace terjadi pada kita. Memperbanyak pertemanan berarti memperbanyak kran rejeki kita. Mencampakkan teman berarti menyumpal kran rejeki kita sendiri.
Sayangnya kita cuma manusia biasa. Tuhan telah menciptakan waktu. Dan waktu semakin lama menggeragoti usia. Sudah cukup banyak teman-teman yang mendahului kita. Sudah cukup banyak kran-kran rejeki kita yang tidak lagi berfungsi karena dipanggil Allah SWT. Lalu apa yang harus kita lakukan?
Mari kita manfaatkan waktu yang tersisa. Perbanyaklah pertemanan dan peliharalah persahabatan yang ada. Kedua hal itulah yang harus kita lakukan sekarang. Mari kita pererat tali silaturahmi dengan semua orang yang pernah masuk kedalam hidup kita. Persahabatan tidak ada hubungannya dengan materi, dengan usia, dengan pangkat, agama, jenis kelamin. Siapapun mereka mari tawarkan jalinan pertemanan. Strangers are just friends waiting to happen. Begitu seorang bijak berkata.
Teman adalah asset! Semakin banyak teman, semakin banyak pula kran rejeki kita. Jadi kepada seluruh teman-teman, terimakasih karena telah mau menjadi teman saya. Dengan hubungan yang semakin membaik insya Allah rejeki kita semua juga akan meningkat. Amin3X.
